The Michigan Chapter of the American College of Surgeons 61st Annual Resident Surgeon Competition will take place May 16-18, 2012, at the Park Place Hotel in Traverse City during the MCACS 59th Annual Meeting. Click here to visit the website and submit an abstract. The abstract submission deadline is Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 11:59 pm.
The awards for the 2012 Resident Surgeons Competition are as follows:
Frederick A. Coller Award (1st place overall) ~ $1,000
Alexander J. Walt Award (2nd place overall) ~ $1,000
Michigan Committee on Trauma Awards
Basic Science Award ~ $500
Farouk N. Obeid Clinical Trauma Award ~ $500
Robert V. Danto Memorial Cancer Research Award ~ $1,000
Gift of Life Transplantation Award ~ $1,000
D. Emerick Szilagyi Vascular Prize ~ $1,000
Krishna K. & Pamela E. Sawhney Ethics Award ~ $500
Education Award ~ $500
