Annual Meeting Update:

The Michigan Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (MCACS) has been monitoring the developments of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since last spring. As of January 4, 2021, we are planning on the MCACS 67th Annual Meeting being a hybrid (live/virtual combo) event. A final decision will be made by March 12th on whether we proceed with the hybrid meeting or make it entirely virtual. Our decision will be based on institution-enforced travel restrictions, vaccine progress, membership survey and overall COVID restrictions in the state of Michigan. If we are able to have a live meeting, we will change the schedule to start the MCACS Meeting late-morning on Thursday, May 13 and end around lunchtime on Friday, May 14 to keep overnight travel to a minimum.

Call For Abstracts

Abstract submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm EST on February 15, 2021.

The number of abstracts selected will be dependent upon whether we have a live or virtual meeting. If MCACS is a virtual meeting, the number of live-presented webinar presentations will be limited and many presentations will available as on-demand only.
